Members and friends of Divine Shepherd will be painting a house in Omaha in August 2007 for someone in need. If you can help, please call Vern or Kathy in the church office (895-1500) to sign up.  We will be having a blood drive in May 2007. The Red Cross is in great need of blood donors with the war going on and the number of baby boomers requiring surgery. If you can help reach our goal of 75 donors, please call Kathy or Vern in the church office (895-1500) for a time slot. As we have been given so much, let us give back to our community.

We have adopted an Omaha Public School east of 72nd street which is Liberty Elementary School. Throughout the year we ask for donations from the congregation to help out the school. This month we are collecting children’s books for grades preschool – sixth grade.

For the Past several years we have participated in the Millard Days parade. It’s been a great way for us to share our love with the community and have some really good fun. Our church is responsible for Stoneybrook ave. from Hwy 50 to 156th Street. Each month we keep the this street clean in our neighborhood.
